Built for Veterans

Serving Those Who Served On and Off the Course

At Veterans Golf Program, we prioritize our members’ most essential needs: Food. Shelter. Transportation. And access to medical and mental health support. These needs surface naturally through relaxed fellowship — not paperwork. As veterans connect on the course, trust builds and real conversations happen. That’s where we learn how to help. There is no cost to participate.
Our volunteers coach each session, and equipment is provided when needed. Golf is the bridge. Community is the mission.

Grow Our Vision

We are on track to expand our reach nationwide. Your support ensures we stay on track to scale the Veterans Golf Program (VGP) so we are accessible to as many veterans as possible.

Why Choose Us

Delivering Value Beyond Expections

The Veterans Golf Program proudly serves nearly 200 men and women veterans from across the United States Armed Forces.

Our home base is Mather Golf Course in Rancho Cordova, where we are grateful to partner with the course’s general manager for access to professional facilities that allow our veterans to learn, practice, and connect in a welcoming environment.

Through this partnership, we provide consistent, structured programming that fosters growth, confidence, and community — both on and off the course.

This is more than golf.
It’s a place to belong.

VETERANS GOLF PROGRAM PARTICIPANT CODE OF CONDUCT

1.        The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to encourage all of us to be our best selves, to provide a safe place for connecting with our fellow veterans, and to create an environment to enjoy the positive energy of exercise.

2.        When in VGP meetings or when representing VGP in a public event:

•            I will respect all people.

•            I will refrain from using inappropriate and foul language.

•            I will refrain from the consumption of alcohol and the use of drugs.

•            I will refrain from smoking in the areas of the VGP practices, meetings or event sites.

•            Because of the sensitivities of some participants, I will refrain from using strong fragrances.

•            I will conduct myself with honesty, ethical behavior, and co-operation.

3.        Sexual, racial, and cultural slurs will not be tolerated.

4.         We have responsibilities toward the well-being of each other.  We all have different triggers that affect us.

•            I will be sensitive to these triggers.

•            I will do my best to not offend a fellow veteran.

•            Should this happen, I will ask what action or comment impacted this person and adjust accordingly.

5.        A 501 (c)(3) organization is not allowed to support a candidate or a ballot proposition during an election campaign. With that in mind,

•            I will refrain from wearing political statements on my clothing at VGP meetings/gatherings.

•            I will refrain from political statements in attempts to convince fellow participants of my beliefs other than encouraging all to vote.

6.        We are given much and so little is required of us, therefore

·      I will give of my time and energy to give back to VGP and to the community.

7.         When speaking with anyone about our program;

·      I will wear our uniform items with respect.

·      I will not divulge any personal information about any fellow veteran without their expressed permission.
